A little bit of post-grunge, something from the Cars meeting R.e.m, perhaps the idea of their neighbourhood canadian band the Stills. Pas très original dans leur son, ce petit groupe de Toronto livre un deuxième album aux références multiples (Cars, R.e.m, Stills, Ducks Ltd).

10 may 2024 - FRUITS OF THE DEEP (the Woodentops)
80's revival! After the 90's wave (Cast, Shed 7, Ride), now the magical fabulous years bring back the so confidential known band from London. Only two lps in the good old days and they're back from the beginning : fresh and delicate.
J'étais passé complétement à côté de deux groupes majeurs dans les années 80 : les Smiths et les Go-Betweens. Pour ces londoniens au succès mitigé (big in Japan, comme on dit), c'est l'occasion de la deuxième chance.

Je n'oublie pas les dernières livraisons des Kings of Leon, pur rock bien calibré, ni les Principe Valiente, toujours aussi gothiques mais je tiens aussi à souligner la jolie Chloe Kay, dans la veine Norah Jones (pour remplacer les Angus & Julia Stone qui tournent un peu en rond).
